An Eight-Week Guided Journal

Practise the qualities you admire in other people.

You admire patience, courage and honesty in other people. The Person I Practise Being is an eight-week guided journal for practising them yourself. Who you become is shaped by ordinary moments, not by one defining one, so each week gives you a single quality to grow into.

Each day, you notice the quality, name one specific moment that tested or showed it, and finish one honest sentence about how you will try again tomorrow. It takes a few quiet minutes, and nothing needs to be dramatic. Eight weeks, eight qualities: patience, courage, honesty, discipline, kindness, confidence, follow-through and calm.

Week 1, day 2 · an example entry

The Quality

Patience.

The Moment

The call ran long and I wanted to finish the other person’s sentence for them.

The Try

Tomorrow, I will let the next person finish before I answer.

What is inside

  • Eight weeks, each built around one quality: patience, courage, honesty, discipline, kindness, confidence, follow-through and calm
  • A simple daily rhythm: The Quality, The Moment, The Try
  • 48 guided daily pages, six a week, so a missed day or two never affects anything beyond that week
  • A look-back page at the end of every week
  • An overview of the whole practice, and a final review
  • 10 blank pages for days that need more room

This is not about becoming a finished, perfect version of yourself in eight weeks. It is a small, repeatable practice of noticing one moment a day, and trying again tomorrow.

Questions before you buy

Where can I buy it?

The paperback is available now on Amazon and is printed to order. In India, it is also available on Pothi, which ships within India only.

How long does each day take?

A few minutes. Every journal uses a simple, structured daily format that walks you through exactly what to fill in, so you do not need to know what to write or how to start.

What if I miss a day, or fall behind?

Each week stands entirely on its own, so missing a day or two never affects anything beyond that week. I Missed a Day. Now What? is a short read for exactly that moment.

Do I need any journalling experience?

No. Nothing here asks you to write well. One honest sentence is enough.

Can I try it first?

Yes. Look through the pages above, or download the free preview (PDF): the front matter plus the first pages, so you can see exactly how it works.
